Gap Analysis
India is a beautiful diverse country known for its culture and traditions, roots of this country are held in its villages. Villages of our country are a true reflection of our lineage, our conserved culture. India is said to be a land of villages. More than 60 percent of country’s population still lives in villages. There are around 1, 45, 000 Tribal villages in our country with more than 25 percent of Tribal population. Ministry of Tribal Affairs main objective is to provide more focused approach on the integrated socio-economic development of the Scheduled Tribes (STs).
Mission Antyodaya is an accountability and convergence framework for transforming lives and livelihoods on measurable outcomes aiming to bring optimum use and management of resources allocated by 27 Ministries/ Department of the Government of India under various programmes for the development of rural areas. It is envisaged as state-led initiative with Gram Panchayats as focal points of convergence efforts
Annual survey in Gram Panchayats across the country is an important aspect of Mission Antyodaya framework. Ministries has been consistently adopting new methodologies and technologies to enhance its service delivery capacity through an application to get convergence of data from Gram Panchayat Level and the purpose is to lend support to the process of participatory planning for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).
Various types of reports are available in Mission Antyodaya like infrastructure, facilities, ranking and score card reports. The convergence of multiple schemes under a single scheme could enable the government to migrate all these to the digital Aadhaar-enabled platform thereby contributing further to the Digital India mission aims.
Mission Antodaya infrastructure gap data is available only for 1, 17, 064 tribal villages at missionantyodaya.nic.in as on 31st August 2019. Based on Antyodaya Mission and Census 2011 data, MoTA has done gap analysis of 1, 17, 000 villages on key development parameters to ensure evidence based planning.
